FAQS

Whether you’re scrolling outside of office hours or just don’t feel like chatting to a human, we’ve compiled a list of FAQs for you to flick through.

Still have questions? It’s probably best to get in touch. We’re friendly. We promise.

MSP is a common abbreviation for “managed service provider”. An MSP is an entity, like us (your friendly IT services consultant), which provides specialised outsourced services to other businesses. It enables smaller-scale operations to obtain enterprise-level support and outsourcing, while there are of course fees involved, it will generally help to cut costs.

The bigger question is how much does it cost not to have a managed IT service? When things go belly up (and they always do with technology), it can cost big bucks to get someone out to fix things. When you factor in downtime, the potential for afterhours fees whether the solution will be temporary or permanent and the general disruption to your business, you’re probably looking at thousands of dollars.

Your MSP partner is an extension of your business. They work with you to proactively optimise and manage your IT infrastructure so that it operates in the best way possible to meet your business needs. MSPs often work behind the scenes (or on-site as needed) to anticipate and mitigate problems before your users ever see them.

It is in the best interest of an MSP to respond quickly and effectively the first time and to position your business for continuous operation.

Costs can vary based on the complexity of the IT environment, number of users and devices, and the level of support required, but generally speaking, a managed IT service consultant agreement ranges between $40 – $120 per user per month.

The fast-paced nature of today’s business landscape means that it’s time to start thinking beyond break/fix IT and more towards how to adopt a proactive approach. But sadly, many in-house IT teams can’t keep up with trends and ensure their business systems are working as they should. With this in mind, it can be a good idea to work with a managed services provider (MSP). You will minimise downtime, gain access to experts (including experts in cybersecurity), benefit from the latest technology, work with a reliable, single point of contact, receive 24/7 assistance and have more time to focus on your team. In the long run it’s more cost-effective and simple to scale up or down as required.
